Jason Armstrong Beck takes photographs and as he likes to say, once in a while they take him.
His work is held in several private and corporate collections as well as having been exhibited at the Guggenheim, LACMA, Art Basel and various galleries around the world. Over the years his work has appeared in just about every publication and has been used for ad campaigns, countless album covers, book jackets and more.
As a photojournalist, Jason's essay Streetjack was a weekly feature in the Miami Herald for several years; the rights to his 'observations' being recently acquired by Getty. 'Now Now' his exhibition of 'war during peacetime' will be shown in September of 2010.
Recently, Jason's attention has been focused on The Immortals, his tribute to New York City, the city he calls home, with the exhibition slated for the fall of 2012.
His journal 'The Journal of Bison Jack' will be published in the spring of 2011 along with 'Temper' his HP sponsored annual collection of short stories/essays/poems and photographs gathered from his friends and colleagues.
